Avoiding a Kids’ Game

Remember playing 52 card pick up when you were a kid? I remember it mostly as a time to tease my younger sisters.

When working on your book, whether it is a chapter or the whole book, having the print pages of your file scatter all over the floor is the last thing you want to do.

Take the time to learn how to create a footer in your word processing program. If nothing else, be sure you have a page number. Additional helpful information is a draft title and the date. When you make a major revision, add the letter v followed by a number to the title to let you know which version of this chapter/book it is. And update the date.
